Daymond John Recognizes Wisdom Senior Care at IFA World Franchise Show in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. — Wisdom Senior Care, an in-home senior care franchise headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, received national recognition during the IFA World Franchise Show in Miami after entrepreneur and Shark Tank investor Daymond John paid a surprise visit to the brand’s exhibit.

The interaction, which took place during the May 9–10 event, resulted in a video shout-out from John, who praised Wisdom Senior Care’s mission and pointed to the brand’s potential for prospective franchisees seeking opportunities in purpose-driven industries.

According to the company, John highlighted the growing demand for in-home senior care and the role franchising can play in meeting the needs of aging populations while offering sustainable business ownership.

“For Daymond to take the time to acknowledge our work and speak to the value of in-home senior care was both humbling and affirming,” said Charles Thurston, chief operating officer of Wisdom Senior Care. “The demand in this space is undeniable. At Wisdom, we focus not only on business ownership, but on helping franchisees thrive within a supportive system.”

Thurston also credited the International Franchise Association for facilitating the moment, thanking IFA President and CEO Matt Haller for supporting the brand’s visibility at the event.

Wisdom Senior Care was founded by Carolyn Thurston, a member of the IFA Board of Directors. The company continues to expand its national franchise network, positioning itself at the intersection of senior care, community impact, and entrepreneurship.
