The Health Foundation of South Florida has officially opened nominations for the 2026 Inspiring Women of Health Awards, marking six years of recognizing exceptional women who are advancing health equity and well-being across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties.
Nominations are open through November 17, 2025, and the winners will be celebrated during Women’s History Month at a luncheon on March 26, 2026, at the Rusty Pelican’s Grand Ballroom in Key Biscayne.
This year’s event theme, “Purpose in every step. Power in every story!”, pays tribute to the resilience and leadership of women who are transforming health outcomes in South Florida. The awards honor trailblazers from all corners of the health ecosystem, including nonprofit leaders, clinicians, public officials, community organizers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists.
“Each year, the Inspiring Women of Health Awards highlight women who are reimagining what health equity looks like in South Florida,” said Loreen Chant, President & CEO of the Health Foundation of South Florida. “Their vision and persistence are driving meaningful change and moving us closer to a future where every person, regardless of zip code, has the opportunity to thrive.”
Nominees will be evaluated based on their measurable impact and dedication to health equity. Key areas include:
- Access to care
- Maternal, child, and infant health
- Mental health and healthy aging
- Disease prevention and wellness
- Social determinants of health
- Inclusive economic opportunity
The Foundation’s annual awards have, since their launch, honored more than 70 women whose contributions have shaped South Florida’s health landscape, from CEOs and public officials to frontline healthcare professionals.
